General Hospital fans seem to be enjoying the scenes happening between Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey). He is holding her captive at Wyndemere after she was getting too close to uncovering the truth about his real identity. Right now, she’s not being submitted to the same torture Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) was. However, one wrong slip of the tongue can change all that, but for now, she seems to be safe. In fact, Cassius seems intent on keeping it that way. He is obviously up to no good when it comes to completing his father’s cold fusion project, but in the end, can his character end up being redeemed? Plus, can Joss and Cassius become the next GH supercouple?
General Hospital: Will Cassius Turn Good?
While fans are loving this darker side to Ryan Paevey’s character, they are also hoping to see him stick around for a long time to come. There are tons of people talking about the possibility of Cassius turning out to be not such a bad guy after all. In Friday’s episode, he tells Joss that he and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will probably have to disappear after the project is completed.
The two had a great conversation while playing cards in her hidden room. There are some qualities about Cassius that seem good. He is trying to protect Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr). Plus, he does truly love James, even though it is really Nathan’s kid and not his. When Russ Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) are out of the picture, can Cassius somehow live a life similar to his twin brother’s?
Joss is doing her best to convince him that it’s possible. He doesn’t seem like he wants to be on the dark side. Some fans are suggesting that perhaps Joss may try to seduce Cassius in hopes of making an escape from captivity.

Stockholm Syndrome For Joss?
Of course, there are also General Hospital fans who think that there really is no twin brother and that Cassius is Nathan West. It is being discussed that brain mapping has been done in the past and can definitely be done again. There is a chance that Faison had Nathan brainwashed into believing he’s Cassius. In soaps, anything is possible. It seems Joss could suffer from Stockholm syndrome. As she gets to know Cassius, she will see him vulnerable and also dangerous. Cassius will most likely start confiding in her in small ways. The two will definitely have a strong bond when it is all over. He is all that she has had for weeks now, probably turning into months.
“A psychological reaction known as ‘Stockholm syndrome’ occurs when a victim of abuse, imprisonment, or domination forms an emotional connection with their abuser. As a coping and survival strategy, the victim may sympathize with the abuser, justify their behavior, or agree with their ideals rather than responding with fear or rage.”
Several Stolen ‘Looks’, Between Joss and Cassius
Plus, there is speculation that if Cassius can redeem himself, there could be a potential romance between him and Joss. Many fans are loving the chemistry between these two and are still talking about a potential pairing. Yes, he’s basically 16 years older than her, but it wouldn’t be the first time an age gap has happened. Fans have already noted seeing some chemistry between these two. Would you support a Joss/Cassius pairing? This would be on course for a WSB Anna Devane and mobster Duke Lavery pairing or even Justine and Sonny. Joss is WSB, and now we have an evil law-breaking Faison in the mix.
General Hospital is known to bring good girls and bad guys together, making for great drama. Joss, being 16 years Cassius’ junior, would have a more dramatic flair to the relationship. Carly will lose it, yet look at a young Carly when she landed in Port Charles; age didn’t matter; she seduced her own mother’s husband, Dr. Tony Jones (Braud Maule), who was much older than her, so Carly should sit this one out. General Hospital writers could easily make a Cassius and Joss supercouple out of these characters. Will writers let the obvious chemistry lead the way and join these two together? Or are they just trying to manipulate each other to get what they want?
What do you think about the Stockholm Syndrome theory? What do you think of a Joss and Cassius pairing? Will it bring even more excitement to Port Charles?
