General Hospital fans know that Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) is doing his best to destroy Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) life. He has a plan to conveniently use her past and current relationship with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) against her. He got the idea to put temptation directly in their paths when Chase showed up at Willow’s office with flowers for the Congresswoman. Now, it seems he has set his plan in motion. On Monday’s episode, Willow ran into Chase while the two were both out for a run. What they didn’t know was that someone else was watching everything.
General Hospital Fans Meet New Character
Right now, all fans know is that Michael wants to set Willow up and hope that Chase takes the bait. He wants these two to have an affair. He’s convinced that Chase still has feelings for Willow. Plus, Willow doesn’t like being alone, which she is since Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is in his paralyzed, locked-in state.
On Monday, Chase asked Willow to make another phone call in hopes of helping him and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) adopt baby Phoebe. When Willow innocently reached out to touch Chase’s arm, viewers saw camera flashes capture the moment. Social media is going crazy with fans trying to figure out who’s taking the pics.
One possibility is newcomer Jonathan Bennett. He will be making his General Hospital debut on Monday, May 18. The Hallmark actor will be playing Joe Fitzpatrick. Right now, all anyone knows about him is that he will be a new cop at the Port Charles Police Department. Is he a dirty cop hoping to make a little side money helping out Michael gain leverage on Willow?
Another Possible Storyline
If Joe Fitzpatrick is not helping Michael gain evidence against Willow for an affair she will have with Chase, then what is his backstory? Bennett is gay in real life and is famous for his acting as such. Will this carry over into the soap world? Some believe he will become a new love interest for Lucas Jones (Van Hansis).
However, since he’s new to town, this will take some time, especially since Lucas is still grieving Marco Rios death. Since nobody knows exactly what Fitzpatrick’s story will be just yet, it’s being assumed by some that he might also work for Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota). It seems Sidwell has leverage on many citizens of Port Charles and has mentioned having multiple informants at the PCPD.
He might end up being placed on the PCPD staff at Russ Cullum’s (Andrew Hawkes) secret request. He could use a little inside information for the WSB since he’s working hard to figure out what Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) has been up to and also find out who shot him.

Bennett shared recently with the media that he is excited for everyone to see what Joe Fitzpatrick is all about. Fans won’t have to wait much longer to discover what secrets he’s holding and who he’s secretly working for.
