General Hospital‘s Nancy Lee Grahn has caused political waves again, saying she doesn’t want to see a particular American Idol judge. D-list author and comedian Kathy Griffin replied to the soap star.
Nancy Lee Grahn targets American Idol Judge
This week, the actress who has played Alexis Davis on the famous soap opera General Hospital since 1996 reacted to Jimmy Kimmel hosting the “Before He Cheats” singer on Jimmy Kimmel Live with her fellow American Idol judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.
Grahn said she would “refuse to even look at” Carrie Underwood while Jimmy Kimmel was hosting her.
Grahn didn’t say exactly why she didn’t want Underwood to be on the show, but a lot of Threads users thought it had to do with the country star’s supposed political ties to President Trump.
Comedian Kathy Griffin puts in her two cents
Comedian Kathy Griffin was one of these users. She gave Underwood a nickname that was similar to Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan. “I’ll keep an eye on you!” The comedian replied to Grahn’s post, “Yeah, no love for MAGA Carrie.” “It’s not just about politics anymore.”
In a post from December, Grahn had already guessed what Underwood’s political views were. “I thought everyone knew Carrie Underwood was MAGA,” she said. “She’s definitely an American, but not an Idol.”
Grahn made a follow-up post on Saturday morning to clarify her thoughts on Kimmel after her comments about Underwood’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live got a lot of media attention. She wrote, “I LOVE Jimmy Kimmel and watch him every night.” “I would never “slam” him. I told him I would watch him next week because I didn’t want to see Carrie Underwood, who was his guest that night, for obvious reasons.

I like Nancy on general Hospital but Love Carrie underwood. I won’t watch Jimmy Kimmel so I guess Nancy no longer is on my like list! Stay to acting.
