Reports are rampant that Savannah Guthrie, Nancy Guthrie’s daughter, may be leaving the Today show as the search for her mother goes on.

Paula Froelich, senior article editor at NewsNation, was informed by sources that Savannah may quit the NBC morning show due to concerns for her family.

Froelich said this on NewsNation Prime on Saturday.

Savannah Guthrie Does Not Want Her Family In Danger

People were speculating that Savannah’s mother was singled out because of her, and she doesn’t want to endanger her husband, siblings, and kids, Froelich said in her Substack newsletter.

One source told Froelich, “She won’t be back for at least three to six months… if ever.”

Savannah Guthrie Has Been Missing From the Today Show since February 1st

Since Nancy went missing from her home near Tucson, Arizona, on February 1, Savannah has not been on Today. The journalist said in a statement that Craig Melvin, her co-anchor, read on air the next day, “I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers, and messages of support.” “Our main goal right now is to get our mom back home safely.”

Savannah and her siblings have begged on their social media accounts: “We need your help. Law enforcement is working tirelessly around the clock, trying to bring her home, trying to find her. She was taken, and we don’t know where.”

NBC Has Replaced Savannah From Her Scheduled Jobs

NBC said on February 3 that Savannah would not be going to Italy to cover the Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina as planned.

No one has been arrested in connection with Nancy Guthrie’s presumed kidnapping. The Pima County sheriff said that local police and the FBI carried out a federal search warrant on a Tucson home on Friday night and arrested three people as they followed up on a tip.
