Real Housewives of New York Jill Zarin has been fired over a since-deleted video about her opinion of the Bad Bunny halftime show.
Zarin said “They didn’t even give me a chance,” she said “I took it down right away. People make mistakes. I’m human,” she added, referring to her since-deleted Instagram video.
On Tuesday, February 10, Blink49 Studios, the company behind The Golden Life, told PEOPLE that Zarin would no longer be joining her fellow RHONY OGs Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon, and Sonja Morgan.
Jill Zarin Fired From Special Docuseries
Jill Zarin is no longer on E!’s new docuseries The Golden Life, which is about the Real Housewives of New York City.
“In light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in The Golden Life,” Blink49 Studios said in their statement. “We remain committed to delivering the series in line with our company standards and values.”
Brandi Glanville shared her thoughts on what her friend Jill Zarin said. Glanville started with her “crush” she had on Bad Bunny. “OK #1 I have a HUGE crush on Bad Bunny. I wanna be his Mrs. Robinson,”
Glanville added, “My friend @Jill Zarin has her own opinion & I don’t agree with it AT ALL but opinions aren’t wrong, they’re subjective. “I want to watch Jill on TV explain herself & hopefully learn something,” she concluded. “Or we can just keep watching ‘yes people’ afraid to share.”
Zarin Fabrics Disavowals Jill On Instagram
Zarin Fabrics, the New York City fabric store that used to be owned by Zarin’s late husband Bobby, posted a picture of Zarin on Instagram on Monday, February 9, with a red “X” over her face. Saying” Zarin Fabrics stands firmly against racism, discrimination, and rhetoric that seeks to exclude or diminish people based on identity, culture, or background.”
The Golden Life will start filming in the spring. It will be about the lives of de Lesseps, Singer, Bensimon, and Morgan in Palm Beach, Florida.
Bravo rebooted RHONY in 2022 for its 14th season, which had a whole new cast of Housewives after a season 13 that was controversial and didn’t get good ratings.
Recently, a daytime soap star on General Hospital got slammed for saying that you could not understand what Bad Bunny was singing. Stephen A. Smith said the viewers turned on him fast for seemingly agreeing with the conservative side.
