General Hospital fans were devastated when Tristan Rogers passed away in August 2025. Everyone has been waiting all this time for the show to honor the legend who portrayed Robert Scorpio for many years. It also took months for writers to honor Monica Quartermaine following Leslie Charleson’s death. Now, it seems that perhaps the time is near for everyone to give Robert Scorpio the send-off he deserves. It is looking more and more like Scorpio may die a hero. What does the soap have planned?

General Hospital: Show Prepares To Honor A Legend

General Hospital fans have been waiting nearly a year for the show to honor Tristan Rogers following his sad death last summer. Now, it seems the time is almost near to say goodbye. Everyone has already decided that, however they kill off Robert Scorpio, it will be a tearjerker.

Rumors are beginning to swirl over how the show will do it. Right now, many believe that writers may be gearing fans up for Robert Scorpio to die a hero.

Everyone knows the history between Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Robert Scorpio is intense. They were married twice, share a daughter and grandchildren, plus they have remained best friends throughout the years. Anna is currently being held against her will in France in a mental institution, believing that Cesar Faison is still alive and after her. Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was about to jet off to France to save her, but now he needs to attend to Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Russ Cullum (Andrew Hawkes). Will Robert swoop in and save Anna?

How Will Robert Scorpio Die?

Although nothing has been confirmed yet by General Hospital, here is how Robert might go down as a hero. Let’s assume for a second that Faison is really still alive and the puppetmaster behind it all. Faison has wanted to kill Robert for years, and now might be his perfect opportunity.

If Scorpio heads to France to try to rescue his beloved Anna, things might go terribly wrong. He might end up coming face-to-face with Faison himself. Faison might shoot Robert as he’s helping Anna leave. She will get away and have to leave him behind to get away from Faison and the nightmare he’s put her in.

She will return to Port Charles and share that Scorpio saved her life. However, she will also continue to say that Faison is alive, to which everyone will think she’s still mentally ill and facing old demons. All hell will break loose when he eventually shows back up in Port Charles to ruffle some feathers and attempt to get Anna back.

  1. I personally would prefer that they let him live with Holly wherever they are I don’t wanna see a body double or stunt double posing as Robert taking a bullet because it wouldn’t be Tristan/Scorpio. Tristan Rogers is dead. Robert Scorpio is still alive in the canvas, but he is owed to have him suddenly head out to France to save Anna when the last time we saw him, he could barely speak is or would be disingenuous to the fan base, the audience and general I prefer thinking of Robert living out the rest of his life with the love of his life Holly. Bring back Frisco to save and bring back Ethan to save Anna. Bring back anybody else, but let Robert and his legacy live out the way we saw him holding his granddaughter with his daughter with Anna.
