General Hospital‘s Kirsten Storms breaks her silence about her life after accusations of a mental health crisis. In April of this year, her ex-husband Brandon Barash asked for and received an emergency restraining order against Kirsten. They split up and moved to Tennessee following their divorce, according to Brandon, who also starred in General Hospital. He claims that his ex’s “instability with housing has been a recurring theme,” and Kirsten’s landlord filed an eviction lawsuit against her.
Kirsten Admits California Never Felt Like Home
Kirsten took to social media and said: “Despite everything that’s been going on in my life right now (…and I will be honest, it’s more than upsetting) – I still feel that the move to Tennessee was the best choice for me. I might not be at the *best part* of this choice yet, but LA never felt like my real home. I’m grateful and really f*ing proud of the accomplishments I’ve achieved during my acting career, however, my career started before I was out of elementary school.”
I spent years working nonstop and feeling envious of anyone who lived in “the real world”. **I DO NOT MEAN FOR THAT TO BE OFFENSIVE** My life in California (and work there) was chosen for me at a young age.”
She went on to say, “After Harper came along, my perspective on everything changed. I promise not to bring up my medical condition any more (I’ll make jokes and it will be awkward), but I never imagined that my life would change until I started to realize how valuable time is and how what we prioritize becomes ALL we have.”
Kirsten Admits Problems With Brandon
Definitely not in the way I’ve always wanted it to. I will briefly acknowledge that there is an ongoing situation with Brandon that will be getting sorted out (soon hopefully). I would appreciate (and encourage) for people on here not to worry about me, or think there is something larger going on, other than 2 ex-spouses dealing with a “disagreement”, that WILL be resolved.
I’m not the type of person to come on here and discuss the details of something this personal (or offensive to who I am), however, before you guys start commenting on this, please remember that we are people who are divorced and have a child. I appreciate the supportive comments, but now that my daughter is of the age where she will Google her name while riding the bus to school, I’m asking that the speculation on this issue please stop. Kirsten then addresses her new hair color. She said, “Also, yes, I have black hair and bangs. I’m kinda dig”
Will Kirsten Be Back To General Hospital?
In Kirsten’s last post, she addressed whether she was open to coming back to General Hospital.
Storms responded directly to the question fans have been wondering about—her future with General Hospital. Viewers eagerly hope for her return.
“I can’t say I will be comfortable heading back to Los Angeles and returning to work given what’s been going on,” Storms wrote.
She added, “This has been an eye-opening experience about the downside of my profession.” Storms concluded, “My daughter is my entire life; she is (and always will be) my first priority.”

I think she is beautiful inside and outside. We all go through hard times. She is in my heart and prayers.
I think she needs to take care of herself and her daughter. Whatever is best for them seems to be her priority as it should be. I wish her the best and hope she can find peace.
Sounds like GH needs to recast Maxie. James needs at least one parent in his life.
