Swamp People has shown many scary moments over the years. Every hunt of Troy Landry and the crew is always a risk. Many of them have gotten injured. But it doesn’t stop them from dominating the swamps. However, the latest episode of Season 17 featured one of the scariest injuries to date. Keep reading to see who it was and what happened.
‘Swamp People‘: What Happened In The Latest Episode?
The latest episode of Swamp People featured the crew’s struggles in the worsening heat in Louisiana. They also went through multiple equipment issues and boat damage. With the heat index rising over 100, Troy and his crew must reach their quota as soon as possible. With the help of Pickle, Troy was able to lift some of the reptiles on the boat and keep them in a shady area to cool.

It was a productive day for the crew, starting with a 12-footer catch. However, the intense heat continued to drain their energy. After some boat issues, Troy decided to head back and offload their catches. But later in the episode, Ronnie suddenly suffered from a scary eye injury.
Ronnie Suffers Eye Injury
Ronnie and Timmy were on the hunt in the latest episode of Swamp People. They were 40 minutes away from camp, and Ronnie remembered that he forgot to put the burlap back on the boat, which could easily damage the gators’ skins from the heat.

Ronnie and Timmy later caught an 11-foot gator. Timmy aimed for the head to finish off the gator. But a piece of the gator’s bone fragment flew into Ronnie’s eye. Fortunately, it didn’t leave any devastating damage.
Otherwise, he could’ve ended up blind. The heat index reached 114, forcing Ronnie and Timmy to consider heading back to camp. On the other hand, Daniel and Zak suffered a major technical problem after their airboat overheated in the swamp.
‘Swamp People‘: How’s Ronnie Adams Today?
Swamp People is known for its delayed timeline compared to the present day. At this point, Ronnie’s eyes have fully healed, and he’s back with his dangerous activities in the swamps. Recently, he underwent rodent hunting at a farm. He wrote, “One Rat at a time!!! Removing invasive species!!!”

Ronnie likes to document his hunting sessions with the crew as well. Last week, he showed off a clip of a “farm-raised” gator, and he believes it could sell for an extremely high price. Furthermore, fans can see Ronnie sharing videos of his crawfish recipes on IG. Most of the time, Troy and the crew would feast with him.
