American Pickers star Mike Wolfe shared some sad news with fans. His beloved mother, Rita, has passed away.
The 61-year-old reality star has hosted American Pickers on The History Channel since 2010.
Mike Wolfe Says Sorrow Comes In Waves Over Tragic Death Of Mom
The History Channel star also said that Rita was with her brother and sister when she died after a four-month fight with cancer.
“The pain and sorrow comes in waves and sometimes it all still doesn’t feel real,” Wolfe shared on his Instagram post.
“Everything I have become in my life I owe to her,” Mike wrote.
“God I will miss her but I know she’s in a better place. I love you to the moon and back Mama. I will look for those little moments when you still find ways guide us.”
Wolfe said: “My brother and sister and I were by her side when she took her last breath.”

Mike’s Brother Robbie Was At His Mother’s Side
Mike’s brother, Robbie, has periodically co-hosted American Pickers since longtime host Frank Fritz left the show in 2021.
Frank had a stroke in 2022 and couldn’t come back to the show before he died at 58 in 2024.
On Wednesday, Robbie also talked about his mother’s death on Instagram. He said, “My Mom passed away on Monday, surrounded by my brother, my sister, and me.
Robbie continued to share: “I’m thinking about you more than I can put into words, Mom. Cancer took you far too soon, but it never took your kindness, your grit, or the way you loved so fiercely. Family was always first . Your passion for adventures and your grandchildren. I see you in the way we all live, the way we care, and the way we try to be strong when things get hard. We will miss you every single day.”
Robbie shared a thoughtful tribute with a collage of pictures of his beloved mother.
