Mama June Shannon and her family were meant to be a part of an unforgettable moment in the grand finale of Mama June: Family Crisis, but the family was at odds due to a shocking secret. The nasty secret of the season finale was revealed. Fans had a lot to say about Shyann’s relationship with Josh Efird after she slept with him in an attempt to become pregnant, which sparked a lot of criticism both online and in the family.
The internet went crazy when the truth of Jessica and Shyann’s divorce was revealed after the scandalous Mama June finale. Shyann and Jessica did joint statements after the show. Jessica revealed she & her wife, Shyann McCant, divorced a few months after getting married.
“It was a mutual decision,” Jessica says the split was a mutual decision and that the two remain friends despite no longer being in a relationship. She also asked fans to be respectful and not send hate or negativity to either of them during this difficult time.
Jessica Shannon even went live on TikTok saying: Calls that the marriage is fictitious and that the plot was created solely for viewers have intensified the fan outrage. On TikTok, Jessica clarified that the wedding depicted on the show was not her actual wedding, stating that although the Josh- officiating wedding was recorded in October 2025, they were legally married on February 21st, 2025.

Mama June went on one of her truth-telling rants and exposed Shyann’s girlfriend and why she and Jessica really divorced.
“Well, since I’m always to b the blame for every relationships not working out and since it was shared publicly and yall have been wanting to see who Shyann cheated with and left Jessica for here you go McKenzie is in the middle of them in the red shirt yall are welcome so everyone can stop digging now.” Fanns had a lot to say after the big reveal: “Always knew we could rely on Mama June for the tea” and another said “So she literally got with a female stud version of Josh aka the Temu version”
Mama June Addresses the “Uproar” she started by Telling Truth
Mama June then addressed the uproar she started on social media saying: “You know it’s so sad to me that People can make post repeatedly times and it’s OK but I make a post and it’s an issue. I will say this and I will leave this right here. I hate and I repeat. I hate people that use children as a prawn in their game of life using a child or a child that you have raised as leverage for somebody to act right is crazy when you go off and you tell people that you don’t know why somebody is protecting you and they should go out and tell the truth, well that’s what I did I didn’t tell the whole truth out of respect for a child but I made a post about a public photo that was shared by a mutual friend and the whole Facebook goes in a uproar.” She ended it with she may go live on TikTok.
Shyann McCant Hits Back
Shyann addressed fans after Mama June exposed the truth about Shyann’s girlfriend and admitted McKenzie is who she cheated on Jessica with. She also shared a picture with her new partner, McKenzie.
“Since June has made it everyone’s business, I’ll go ahead and address it. I’m not going to make excuses for what I have done. What hasn’t been shared is that I had been asking Jessie for a divorce for months because I wasn’t happy. I expressed how I felt repeatedly, including that issues involving her mother were a big reason I wanted out. Nothing changed, and despite asking for a divorce more than once, it wasn’t happening.”
“That doesn’t make what I did right, and I take full responsibility for my actions. But relationships are rarely as simple as they appear from the outside, and there was a lot more going on than people know. Most importantly, there are children involved on every side of this situation. They deserve privacy and peace. This is something that should have stayed between the people directly involved until we chose to speak on it ourselves.” She closed it by saying she was moving on with her life.
Jessica recently came back to Social Media after 1 Month of being MIA
Jessica hasn’t been on Facebook for almost a month. Mama June’s daughter admitted that she was unaware of how much she missed Facebook. She went on to say that her depression was not the reason she deactivated her Facebook page. Rather, there was an unsuccessful attempt to remove her from the Facebook game. Jessica was vague about who it was. However, her post attests to her success behind the camera. Numerous admirers also offered Jessica encouraging remarks. Some even applauded her return to social media.
Jessica was also quite upbeat on the internet before abruptly going missing. She sent a powerful statement last month, stating, “I’ve learned that sometimes you have to go through storms to truly appreciate the sunshine. Life looks a whole lot brighter this way, and I’m excited for everything that’s ahead. Here’s to growth, happiness, and enjoying every moment along the way.
