Mama June: Family Crisis star Jessica Shannon and wife Shyann McCant Split Just Months After Wedding.
Jessica Shannon, who is known to Mama June fans as Pumpkin’s sister, has announced that she and her wife, Shyann McCant, are officially divorced.
The couple dated for a few years before getting married in the latest season of Mama June. They’d also helped raise Harper together, and had talked publicly about their desire for a child of their own.
“It was a mutual decision,” Jessica says the split was a mutual decision and that the two remain friends despite no longer being in a relationship. She also asked fans to be respectful and not send hate or negativity to either of them during this difficult time.

The event was supposed to be one that Mama June Shannon & Co. would never forget, but in the end, a jaw-dropping secret leaves the family at odds, and possibly estranged.
Fans were talking a lot about the relationship after the season finale showed Shyann sleeping with Josh Efird in an effort to have a baby, which caused a lot of backlash online.
Jessica and Shyann explain why they decided to get down with Pumpkin’s ex-husband and baby daddy.
“The reason it happened was because me and Jessie were strictly wanting to grow our family and have a child from, you know, just me and her,” Shyann says. “It’s not that, ‘Oh, we had a romantic relationship.’ No, it’s nothing like that at all.”
“It’s got completely flipped upside down,” Pumpkin says, to which Shyann adds, “As it does in her family.”
Jessica said “This is something that should never been brought to camera,” Pumpkin then replies, “It should have never been brought to camera, but yet everybody wants to hide it. Everybody wants to act picture perfect, right? And I’m sick of it!”
