Pauline’s son, Dillon, recently took to YouTube to share a heartbreaking video, announcing the death of his mother. According to Dillon, his mother’s death is related to their car accident, which happened months ago.

He revealed that they were involved in a huge collision with another vehicle earlier in January. It resulted in Pauline suffering from multiple health issues over the past few months, which also hindered her weight loss journey.

Dillon explained that they were driving on the highway when a truck suddenly stopped in the middle of the road. The truck didn’t have its lights on, resulting in a total crash. Dillon explained, “The guy claimed that he ran out of gas, but for whatever reason, he still didn’t have his lights on. We hit the trailer. Because he didn’t have the lights on, we didn’t see it until it was too late, and we were right up on it.”

Dillon then revealed that they suffered from minor injuries and that the hospital didn’t detect any serious complications in his mom. But weeks later, Pauline suffered from chest pains, and it was too late when they found out that she suffered from broken ribs.

Pauline struggled to swallow food because of her injury, and it played a significant role in her weakening. Last August, it was revealed that she suffered from a blockage in her esophagus and was also diagnosed with COVID-19. Dillon adds, “They couldn’t do all these tests and surgeries and procedures that they wanted to do because there was always something wrong.”

Dillon then explained that the doctors couldn’t do anything for his mom as complications kept popping up left and right. Pauline later showed signs of heart and respiratory failure, ultimately resulting in the My 600-Lb Life star’s death on Thanksgiving.
