General Hospital fans are thinking another major star could be exiting the daytime drama. If it’s true, the news comes on the heels of Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) announcing his departure. Burton assured fans he will return in the summertime. However, new clues have many speculating that one star could be calling it quits. Who is it?
General Hospital Losing Huge Star?
General Hospital eagle-eyed fans spotted a huge clue that one major star in the soap could be calling it quits. Their character continues to go through a traumatic, horrific time on the show, leaving room for lots of speculation. In fact, their character is not even in Port Charles at the moment.
Of course, this would be the great Finola Hughes (Anna Devane). Anna is currently locked up in a mental institution in France. She’s begging everyone to believe that Faison Cesar is alive and kidnapped her. Since Anna did manage to escape captivity, why do fans think she might be getting ready to call it quits after her 40-year run on the soap?
When Friday’s episode aired, some noticed that Finola Hughes name was missing from the ending credits. The credits usually include all the soap’s regulars as well as recurring cast members who appeared during that episode. Hughes name was not there. This is a huge clue that an announcement may be brewing.
So far, neither General Hospital nor Finola has made an announcement regarding her status on the show. Could this really be the end of Anna Devane? Time will tell if she’s been taken off contract or just perhaps taking an extended absence like Steve Burton is doing, and Kirsten Storms is just returning from.
If Anna is really gone, many fans will be devastated.
What Will Happen To Jason Morgan?
Since Steve Burton is leaving General Hospital temporarily as Jason Morgan, fans are also wondering what storyline will start his exit. Fans hope it won’t be another presumed dead story, as Jason has already been there, done that.
There is a real possibility that Jason will decide to try to rescue Anna from the mental institution she’s in. However, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota and Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) may not allow that to happen. Could Jason and Anna both be kidnapped and held captive? Sidwell could use Jason as a bargaining tool to bring down Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
It’s yet to be revealed what will actually happen to Jason and Anna. Hopefully, Anna’s departure will be temporary as well. Can you imagine life in Port Charles without the great Anna Devane? What do you think will happen with both characters?
