Maurice Benard has been playing the legendary Sonny Corinthos for 30 years; he recently put an end to the rumors by saying, “No, I’m not leaving.”A lot of people have always said that. He said, “I think they’re saying I’m dying, too, like I have cancer or something.”
The actor has been playing Sonny Corinthos on General Hospital since 1993. He has a “year left” on his contract, which means he will be on the show for at least that long. However, he doesn’t really plan to leave the show anytime soon.
General Hospital’s Maurice Benard introduces new baby
Maurice Benard shared a special baby on his social media. A baby girl named Meina. Maurice wore a 70’s band ‘The Carpenters’ T-shirt that his adult daughter gave him, with the band’s music ‘Close to You’ playing in the background.
The General Hospital actor said:
and be grateful for everything, don’t take anything for granted.” Maurice is just glowing as he says he thinks baby Meina likes him. He also said it doesn’t get better than this.
