Young & the Restless is kicking off May sweeps in a big way. Shocking previews for the upcoming week have been released, and it’s filled with suspense and drama. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) are trying to rescue Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams), who are being held captive. Nick has been popping pills, and the addiction is catching up with him. What happens next will leave Nick fighting for his life. What evil does Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) have planned for Nick now?
Young & Restless: Nick Newman Fighting For His Life
In a new preview for the upcoming week of Young & the Restless, Nick Newman looks terrible. It’s obvious to his brother Adam that he’s in no condition to drive. So, Adam will force Nick into the passenger seat and take over driving. That’s only the beginning of their Las Vegas nightmare.
Seeing that Nick is struggling and needing the drugs he’s been taking, Adam shockingly encourages Nick to take some, noting that he knows he needs them. They need Nick to be able to take on whatever comes their way while trying to get to Sharon and Noah. Nick can’t do that if he’s having withdrawals. However, that choice may have just cost him his life.
What Nick and Adam do not know is that one bag of pills Nick swiped have been tainted by Matt Clark. He wanted to make sure Nick ingested a bad batch.
When Nick and Adam finally reach Sharon and Noah, the drugs will kick in, and Nick will collapse. A delighted Matt will be watching surveillance video from his car. He is seen saying, “Little rich boy Newman finally hit on the bag from the bad batch. What a shame.”
When Nick loses consciousness, Adam and Sharon will rush to him and try to do what they can to help him. Time is critical, and they must get him help fast before he succumbs to the drugs and dies.
Adam Meets Up With Chelsea
In another clip from the preview, a distraught, exhausted Adam makes it back to the hotel room and embraces Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). She asks where Nick is. Adam will have to tell her he collapsed and is at the hospital. He will no doubt feel guilty for encouraging Nick to take the drugs.
Speculation is that Nick is going to land in a coma. Spoilers say that Matt Clark is still trying to finish what he started and get rid of Nick for good. There will be some scary and intense moments on the way for Nick. Will he flatline and be brought back? Will Matt try to sneak into the hospital to try to kill him?
Nobody knows for sure what Nick’s fate will be. However, with May Sweeps fast approaching, it’s sure to be dramatic and suspenseful. What do you think will happen to Nick once he collapses from the tainted drugs?
