General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) may be hiding an important secret, which could give him an advantage. Brennan might be planning to take things in a new, unexpected direction. Recently, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) found herself in a complicated situation. She offered to give Brennan another dose of a paralytic at the hospital to avoid drawing suspicion to Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen), since Willow’s presence would have looked odd.
Nina nearly injected Brennan herself again but was startled when he moved his arm and opened his eyes before she could proceed. The show left viewers in suspense, not immediately revealing what happened next. With the following episode introducing a new day in Port Charles, it’s still unclear whether Nina went through with the injection.
Did Nina Make an Appeal to Brennan Instead of Drugging Him?
This could be an intentional move by the writers, possibly wanting the audience to believe Nina kept her promise to Willow. Nina feels sympathy for Brennan and wishes the circumstances were different. She may have chosen to handle things her own way and made a direct appeal to Jack. Maybe Nina confided in Brennan, sharing either the whole story or some version of it. She could have revealed that Willow drugged Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), blaming Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) for manipulating her actions—even though Willow willingly took part and Sidwell would have likely forced her if she hadn’t.
General Hospital: Nina Chooses Brennan Over Cullum & Sidwell
Nina might have stressed that Willow is overwhelmed and asked Brennan for help. While Nina doesn’t know everything about Cullum’s dark side, she realizes he poses a real threat, given his reputation and role as Brennan’s medical proxy. Nina may have decided that working with Brennan is safer than dealing with Sidwell and Cullum.
If so, Nina and Brennan might have quietly teamed up to bring down Cullum and Sidwell. Brennan could be pretending to be locked in, just playing along when Cullum taunts him in the May 22 episode. There’s a chance Brennan could surprise Cullum physically, or simply smirk and wait for the right moment. He might even turn the tables if the WSB director tries to inject him later. No matter how events unfold, it’s not certain that Nina actually injected Brennan. If she didn’t, Brennan could be faking his condition for his own reasons.
