Young and the Restless star Courtney Hope is recognized for embracing fitness; she recently revealed having surgery for a painful disease that was finally diagnosed.

On her social media accounts, fans often see her posting about her workouts, wellness routines, and sharing insights from both her personal and work life. This week, however, she chose to reveal something especially personal.

Courtney Hope Reveals Painful Journey

The Young and the Restless actress took to Instagram Stories to share that she recently had endometriosis excision surgery, following years of experiencing undiagnosed symptoms.

“Endometriosis, adenomyosis and PCOS are no joke,” Hope shared.

She described the lengthy process of seeking answers. “It took me 34 years and multiple gynos to finally get diagnosed with all three by the best, Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi. Now, two years later, I am recovering after my surgery to remove it all.”

Hope also provided details about what doctors found during her procedure.

Surgeons discovered lesions in several areas, including her left ovary, fallopian tube, uterus, and colon.

She explained that an endometrioma was located inside her left ovary, and the ovary itself had become attached to her intestines as a result of these conditions.

Finally, Courtney Got a Diagnosis

This discovery brought clarity to years of unexplained symptoms and ongoing pain.

“Decades of pain and symptoms explained,” Hope wrote. “I’m so grateful to have answers and to be on the road to recovery and proper treatment.”

Hope said that part of her motivation for sharing her story was to support others who may be going through a similar journey.

She encouraged women not to ignore warning signs and to persist in seeking answers if they feel something is wrong.

“Advocate for yourself if you believe you may have endo, adeno, or PCOS!” she wrote.

She also reminded others that severe pain, fatigue, inflammation, cysts, and excessive bleeding should not simply be seen as normal.

Although she usually keeps health matters private, Hope felt it was important to speak out, wishing she had known what symptoms to watch for earlier in life.

She also mentioned being surprised by how many women reached out to share their own experiences with endometriosis, adenomyosis, and PCOS.

“I’m mind blown at the amount of women suffering and in active recovery from Endo, Adeno, and PCOS,” she wrote.

Hope shared her appreciation for the growing awareness, advocacy, and research regarding these health issues.

She hopes that more education and understanding will help others avoid years of pain and uncertainty.
