Police in Arkansas arrested Joseph Duggar on March 18 on a warrant from Bay County, Florida. After he was arrested, the Arkansas Department of Human Services and the Tontitown Police Department both searched Joseph and his wife, Kendra Duggar’s, home on March 19.
This search led to more charges against the couple. A police source confirmed that these charges have nothing to do with the felony charges in Florida.
Arkansas officials filed more charges against Joseph and his wife just before 5 p.m. on March 20. This was after an independent investigation into the reality star.
Michelle Duggar paid Kendra’s bail, and she was free to go just a few hours after being arrested on these charges. Joseph, on the other hand, is still in jail. Michelle brought Kendra back to the home she and Jim Bob share in Arkansas. When Michelle returned home with Kendra, the paparazzi harassed her.

Kendra Is Looking At 8 years in Jail If Convicted
The couple was charged with four counts each of second-degree false imprisonment and second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor. They arrested her because the locks on the doors were on the outside of the children’s rooms. If Joseph and Kendra are found guilty on all eight counts, they could each go to jail for up to eight years and pay thousands of dollars in fines.
A hearing for Kendra was not necessary, as she was booked under Rule 8.1. Arkansas Rule of Criminal Procedure 8.1 provides, “An arrested person who is not released by citation or other lawful manner shall be taken before a judicial officer without unnecessary delay.”
Kendra Duggar has a court date of April 29th. That date resonates with some followers because it was the day Josh Duggar was arrested by U.S. Marshals for receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material. He was sentenced to 12.5 years in federal prison. Josh has spoken out and said his brother Joseph is innocent.
Joseph Duggar also has a court date for his Arkansas charges on April 29 at 2 p.m. in Elm Springs District Court. He is awaiting extradition to Florida, where he faces 25 years to life in prison if convicted per Florida law.
