On Friday, March 20, Joseph Duggar, 31, appeared in an Arkansas court by Zoom. He gave up his right to an extradition hearing, but his wife, Kendra, and other family members weren’t there. It appears Kendra Caldwell Duggar is in police custody.
In Arkansas, Kendra Duggar is being charged with child endangerment. TTPD tells KNWA/FOX24 that both Duggars are accused of four charges of second-degree false imprisonment and four counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor.
On Friday, March 20, police in Tontitown, Arkansas, sent out a news statement saying that they had filed fresh charges against Kendra’s husband, Joseph Duggar.
Joseph, 31, was arrested and charged with Lewd and Lascivious Behavior, on Wednesday, March 18.
Additional Charges Against Joseph Duggar
The additional accusations in Arkansas, unrelated to the prior allegations in Florida, include four counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a juvenile and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment.
Kendra Caldwell Duggar Arrested For Same Charges As Joseph
Police later said that Kendra, who is 27, is facing the same charges in the Arkansas case as her husband.
According to local news station KNWA/FOX24, authorities showed up at the Duggar family’s house at 1 p.m. on March 20 to serve an arrest warrant for Kendra, but she wasn’t home at the time.
The police have confirmed that the Duggars’ charges in Arkansas have nothing to do with Joseph’s case in Florida. TTPD did say, though, that this independent inquiry started right after the alleged event in Florida.
TTPD indicated that this is still an active investigation, but they won’t give out any more information right now because there are minors involved.
Joseph Duggar’s booking states that he has a court date for his Arkansas charges on April 29 at 2 p.m. in Elm Springs District Court.
