Counting On Jill Duggar Dillard Issues Statement On Joseph’s Arrest
The Duggar family is once again making headlines for all the wrong reasons. After the public scrutiny of Josh Duggar being sentenced to prison for possessing child pornography, a second brother is now charged with lewd acts on a minor. This puts the entire family in the spotlight once again.
Jill and husband Derick Dillard issued a statement on their personal blog about Joseph’s arrest. They said they were shocked and heartbroken over the arrest and alleged confession. They went on to say they are praying for the victim and her family. Jill and Derick also said they love Kendra Duggar dearly.
Jill said, “We love our sister-in-law, Kendra, and our four nieces and nephews and pray that they feel loved and supported during this time as we cannot imagine the indescribable pain they feel as they process and grieve everything.”
The former TLC star has not commented on Kendra’s arrest as of this writing.
What Gives Jill Strength During These Difficult Times
Counting On star Jill Duggar is not only heartbroken over her brother’s arrest, but she’s also still grieving the loss of her daughter. The two-year anniversary of their daughter’s passing is this week, and Jill is remembering her.
With all of her heartache, Jill shared how she’s coping with it all on Instagram. She shared a photo of a birdhouse and said she’s thankful for church friends who bring so much joy to her children. One of their friends helped Jill’s children make this birdhouse to hang up outside.
She also shared more about the anniversary of her pregnancy loss. Jill posted a photo she took on the two year anniverary and attached a song to it. She noted the song “Faithful Still” has helped her through difficult moments in her life. Jill said, “God is faithful. In spite of the circumstances and people who let us down.”
Jill relies on her faith in God and music to help her cope with difficult times.
