Joseph Duggar, who was on the show Counting On, has a new mugshot and jail intake video after being arrested. The 31-year-old son of Jim Bob and Michelle admitted to his crimes after the police heard from the victim.
Joseph is the second family member to be arrested for sexually abusing a child. Josh is currently serving 12.5 years in prison for CSAM. It was also said that he had touched some of his sisters inappropriately at that time. It came out that Joseph did the same thing to a 9-year-old girl, and he could spend some time in prison. Read on to see the video of him being taken in after his arrest.

Joseph Duggar’s Victim Told Her Dad
Reports say that a 14-year-old girl went to the police to tell them what Joseph did to her. It happened in Panama City Beach, Florida, in 2020, when the girl was only 9 years old. She said that Joseph kept asking her to sit on his lap and that he touched her inappropriately. She also said that the Counting On alum “played” with her underwear and rubbed his genitals on her thighs.
Joseph admitted to the charges, and it was also made public that the victim’s father confronted him earlier this week. He and Kendra have four kids together.
“The victim stated Duggar eventually apologized for his actions, and the incidents stopped after the apology,” BCSO said. “The victim’s father confronted Duggar about these incidents on March 17th.”
Denis Dean, a prosecutor from Washington County not involved in the case, spoke to 5NEWS on Wednesday about the next steps.
There are some procedural things that need to be taken care of in a case like this one, where the suspect was arrested in a different state than the crime they are accused of.
Dean said, “When a person is arrested in another jurisdiction, there’s an extradition process that takes place.” Dean said that Duggar will be able to choose whether or not to fight extradition. Florida officials will have about 30 days to pick him up if he decides to give it up. But if Duggar wants to fight it, it will take a little longer.
Joseph Duggar In Arkansas Jail Until Florida Governor Requests Him
“If he can test jurisdiction, then Florida has to obtain what’s called a governor’s warrant. Basically, the Florida Governor sends something to the Arkansas Governor and says, ‘We want this person.’
Dean said that the process of fighting extradition usually takes longer and requires more paperwork, but it is also less common. Another thing that investigators and prosecutors will have to deal with is how long it took for the alleged events to be reported.
As of this publication, Joseph Duggar is awaiting extradition to Florida. Come back to the Daily News Corner for more breaking news and Duggar updates.
