General Hospital fans were left picking their jaws up off the floor after Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) revealed to Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) that she has been cheating on him with his enemy, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). She wouldn’t even be in this mess if it weren’t for her daughter Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), revealing to Jack that her mom was having an affair. Now, the truth about everything is out there. As Brennan spewed words at Carly, he pointed out that it was only a matter of time before Valentin betrays her. Is he right?
General Hospital: Will Valentin Run With Charlotte?
On Monday, General Hospital fans saw a side to Jack Brennan they had not seen before. He admitted to Carly that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. He also said he never wanted to lie to her about Joss being a part of the WSB. Jack didn’t expect to develop such strong feelings for Carly.
Brennan also couldn’t believe that she had been helping Valentin all this time and was the mysterious “lawyer” who had visited him in prison. He then told Carly that she would go to jail for aiding and abetting a fugitive. She could face a minimum of twenty years behind bars. He then snarled at her that maybe they would throw her in a pit with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Brennan told Carly that it was only a matter of time until Valentin snatched Charlotte and fled, leaving her there to face consequences alone. The look on Carly’s face said that she was worried about it. Is this something he would really do?
Will He Betray Carly?
In the past, Valentin would not have hesitated to flee with his daughter. However, the feelings he has developed for Carly are intense, and he truly does not want to hurt her. The two share an incredible passion for one another. In fact, Lucas even noticed that Carly has never spoken of a man as strongly as she has her “mystery man.” But some wonder if it was the mystery surrounding their relationship and the excitement of keeping it a secret that really bound them together. Will their passion still be there now that the secret is out?
So, while Valentin may be forced to leave at some point, perhaps to see Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), he will never betray Carly. The question is, can they exonerate Valentin so he and Carly can have a real future together?
There’s about to be another wrench thrown into the mix, though, when Carly finds out her daughter is missing. She will instantly blame Jack. However, fans know Brennan has nothing to do with it. Will this blow up the plans she and Valentin had to get Brennan to help them bring down Director Cullum?
Time will tell, but as May Sweeps gets into full swing, there is sure to be more intense drama as more twists are revealed.
