General Hospital fans are reeling after learning that the mysterious person Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) has been trying to call from the pier is Delilah Wilson. He mentioned her name on a phone call and then Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) reveal that Delilah died while giving birth to Phoebe. Many fans instantly began to speculate that Ethan is Phoebe’s father. However, this will most likely end up being far from the truth. If Ethan is not the father, who is?
General Hospital: Ethan Is Not the Father
General Hospital fans are sure that Ethan Lovett is Phoebe’s father. However, they may be in for real disappointment when it’s revealed he’s not. In one of Ethan’s phone calls to Delilah, he told her he can’t help her if she doesn’t show up. This does not scream romantic love affair. Instead, it seems that he was helping her escape something or someone.
When Delilah was giving birth to Phoebe, producers were sure to zoom in on a mysterious tattoo on her wrist. While it’s not the tattoo used on Dawn of Day members, it certainly looks as though it could be related to a cult of some sort. Perhaps a spin-off of Dawn of Day?
Right now, it’s unclear how Ethan even knows Delilah. It could be that he was helping her escape the cult. Perhaps he was helping her create a new life for herself and her baby. It could even be revealed that the head of the cult is the one who fathered her baby. Regardless, it doesn’t seem like Ethan is romantically involved with Delilah.
Who Is Phoebe’s Real Father?
General Hospital writers usually bring up a topic multiple times, and then bam, something happens with that subject. Dawn of Day has been discussed a few different times, and there are theories that it all somehow links back to Delilah.
Chances are, Ethan is not the father of Delilah’s baby. There’s a really good possibility that Phoebe may actually belong to Joe Fitzpatrick. This new character will be popping up in Port Charles this month. He is being played by Hallmark and Mean Girls star Jonathan Bennett. Bennett is gay in real life, but it’s unclear if his character will be as well or perhaps even bisexual. There’s always the possibility that Delilah was carrying the baby for Joe and his partner, whomever that may be.
Even if he’s not the father, he may hold the answers to the father’s real identity. So far, ABC has not revealed any details about the character of Joe.
