General Hospital spoilers for the week of July 27–31 tease both the return of familiar faces and some first-time arrivals.
Expect some surprises as the ABC soap brings in story twists. Robert Gossett will reprise his role as Marshall Ashford to close out July. Marshall will meet his new grandchild and be there for Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) as Curtis prepares for his trial.
Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) will insist that Quinn (Jequan Jackson) fix things with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) before any reconciliation can happen between them. Trina and Kai will also be stunned by what happens with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) at the lake, leading them to mistakenly suspect Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen)—even though Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is the real culprit who pushes Drew into the water.

Serena Baldwin’s Debut
Kelly Kruger debuts as the recast Serena Baldwin on July 30, jumping straight into drama with Deception. Serena won’t hesitate to play hardball or get sneaky to help Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring). Viewers can expect Serena to share important scenes with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) during the corporate shakeup. Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will likely clash with Serena once she’s tangled up in Deception’s business as well.
Troy Lennon Appel appears for the first time as Hudson, a mysterious business executive, also on July 30. Hudson is searching for someone in Port Charles and won’t be afraid to take drastic steps to get what he wants. Hudson’s introduction may pave the way for Ethan Lovett’s (Nathan Dean) exit, as Ethan will soon be forced to go on the run—possibly due to Hudson’s pursuit and the trouble he brings to town.
There’s speculation that Hudson could be Phoebe’s (Luna and Lucia Creighton) biological father, but he might also just work for Phoebe’s actual dad. Phoebe’s “baby daddy” could be a bigger villain with ties to GH history, especially since Ethan got that DNA sample from a PCPD cold case evidence box.
Jason Morgan Says Bye To The Mob?
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will reunite with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), probably to deliver some major news. There’s a strong chance Jason is about to announce his exit from the mob, forcing Sonny to accept this change. Jason will also have to adjust to new dynamics in Sonny’s life as Sonny relies on Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) as his attorney and grows closer to Ric as his half-brother. Sonny may defend Ric, even if Jason has trust issues.
Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) could find herself lonely if Jason doesn’t want to pursue their romance. On the romance front, Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) and Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) could be in trouble if jealous Charlotte Cassadine’s (Bluesy Burke) crush escalates. Charlotte is interested in Gio, so she might see Emma as an obstacle—even though she’s a minor and unlikely to actually take Gio from his girlfriend.
General Hospital spoilers say the week of July 27–31 will bring new cast members and plenty of unexpected twists, so stay tuned. Comme back to the Daily News Corner for more daytime drama updates.
