McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys Steven McBee Sr. has been serving a prison sentence in a federal prison. He has been serving a 24-month sentence for crop insurance fraud. Now, one of his sons revealed in a recent interview that he is being released early. Keep reading to find out all the details.
McBee Dynasty Patriarch Steven McBee Sr. Will Exit Prison Soon
McBee Dynasty father Steven McBee Sr. pleaded guilty to one count of crop insurance fraud in 2024. In October 2025, he was then sentenced to 24 months in federal prison. He was also ordered to pay more than $4 million in restitution and pay $3.2 million back to the insurance company. The father of four self-surrendered to prison in Yankton, South Dakota, on Dec. 1, 2025.
Now, less than a year into his prison sentence, he is already set to be released. Prior to surrendering himself for his prison term, McBee Sr. revealed he had been speaking with pardon attorneys. He even consulted with Chrisley Knows Best Star Todd Chrisley.
While it is currently unclear why the prison sentence has been reduced, Steven McBee Jr. revealed his father has less than 60 days left to serve. He will be going home in September. McBee Jr. said, “He is under 60 days now. He’s doing great. He’s ready to get home, ready to see the grandbabies, and ready to cook us some dinners.”

McBee Dynasty has proven to be quite successful. The former Joe Millionaire, Steven McBee Jr., stars in the reality series along with his three siblings. The show follows their life as they try to navigate their lives and save the business from their father’s past mistakes. The Bravo reality series is currently airing episodes from Season 3.
Steven McBee Sr. has not been active on the show since his legal troubles surfaced. However, his son revealed that he’s been keeping up with the series from prison.
There has been some debate about his relationship status with Masha Petrova. McBee Jr. revealed that, as far as he knows, his father is still together and going strong with Petrova. He said, “It changes from what he tells us compared to what he tells Masha. We can’t get a straight answer out of him. My belief is that, yes, they are together.”
Masha is actually the ex-best friend of his former situationship/CFO of McBee Farm & Cattle Co., Galyna Saltkovska, who has caused mounds of tension within the family and the business over the last two seasons.
McBee Jr. finds it hilarious that his father is watching the season from jail.
