Bold & Beautiful actor Ron Moss filled the role of Ridge Forrester for 25 years before calling it quits. He originated the role and made it his own. Fans were shocked when the announcement came in 2012 that he was done. At the time, there were not a ton of details available as to why he decided to walk away from the soap. It was said at the time to be due to salary issues. So, he just let his contract expire. Now, several years later, he’s revealing more about why he really left. He’s also dropping a truth bomb about co-star Susan Flannery, who played Stephanie Forrester.

Bold & Beautiful actor Ron Moss was a staple on the show for 25 years. He starred alongside Susan Flannery as Stephanie Forrester, John McCook as Eric Forrester, and Katherine Kelly Lang as Brooke Logan. Of course, Stephanie and Eric were his parents on the show. Moss is a great actor, but his first love is music.
Prior to joining Bold & Beautiful, Moss co-founded the band Player. They had the hit song, “Baby Come Back.” This song is still played today and was wildly popular. He’s back to performing these days, along with creating original music for films he’s producing.
At a recent concert, Moss spoke of his time on the soap and shared the real reason he left. He said, “The politics of the show, the decorations of the show, disrespect of the show got to a point where I just made the decision at 25 years, I’m done.” He went on to say he explained his reasons to them.
At the time of his departure from the show, a rep for Bell Phillip Television said, “Ronn has spent an amazing 25 years with B&B. We will always consider him family, and we wish him only the best in all of his future endeavors.”
Moss Drops Truth Bomb About Susan Flannery
Bold & Beautiful’s former star, Ron Moss, spoke out at a recent performance regarding his departure from the soap. He also dropped a major truth bomb about Susan Flannery’s exit from the show. He said Flannery planned on staying with B&B for roughly seven more months before retiring.
However, after Moss gave his notice, he received a call from Flannery about a week later. She told him he was right and said she’s out of there, too. She went to Brad Bell and told him he had two months. Kill her off, do whatever he wanted, but in two months, she was done.
Moss went on to say they were all feeling it, but he and Susan made the tough decision to walk away. He also clarified that he loves the show. He misses the people he worked with, but not the daily grind of the show.
