American Idol fans are tuned in for the latest season of the hit singing competition that has crowned many stars through the years. As this new season continues to search for the next big winner, a big change is being announced for where the show can be seen. This isn’t the first time the show has made broadcasting changes. It aired for years on Fox. Now, it’s being shown on ABC, and it’s expanding where fans can tune in. Plus, as the competition heats up, a new spinoff has been announced.

American Idol Fans Can Tune In On New Channel

Season 24 of American Idol premiered on January 26. Some changes already happened, and now there are a few more coming. The show usually aired on Sunday and Monday nights. However, this season, there will only be new shows every Monday evening on ABC. Fans can also tune in and watch the latest episode the day after it airs on Hulu.

Since the show continues to gain popularity and fans can’t seem to get enough, a new broadcasting option will be added. The show will continue to air on ABC and Hulu. However, in an effort to gain even more viewers, fans will be able to tune in and watch American Idol live on Disney+. The change will take effect on March 30.

The current season is airing auditions. Then, the lucky chosen ones head to Hollywood for their chance at being the next big winner. There may be broadcasting changes, but the judges remain the same. Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan work together to choose a singer best suited for stardom and a chance at making their dreams come true. Of course, Ryan Seacrest continues as host of the popular series.

There’s also one other change that should have a positive effect on the show. Voting always occurred through texting. This year is different. Fans will be able to vote on their favorite social media platform. Showrunners are hoping to reach more fans by doing things differently and keeping up with the current times and trends.
