General Hospital spoilers suggest that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) might panic and do something horrible, leading to a dramatic chain of events.
Nina appears set to push Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) into the water, which will require Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) to respond quickly.
Scout Quartermaine (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) recently received Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) approval for Drew to watch her practice at the lake for an upcoming charity swim. As a result, Drew will be near the boathouse, with Nina playing a role in getting him there.
A GH preview video for the week of July 20-24 shows Drew teasing Nina about some bad news and demonstrating that he can speak.
Drew has secretly been regaining some movement, but he still isn’t able to swim well enough to get out of a dangerous situation on his own.
Back in June, GH Head Writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten teased in an SOD interview that Drew would make “a big splash” this summer and implied that if “pushed too far, Nina pushes too far.”
Nina Pushes Drew Into Lake
This hints that Nina will impulsively push Drew into the lake and potentially try to let him drown.
This could happen while Drew is still in his wheelchair, or he might stand up if he’s able, especially if he continues to provoke Nina. In either case, Nina will probably push Drew into the lake, resulting in the dramatic moment that’s been teased.
Nina likely wouldn’t make this move if she thought anyone was around, so Scout may not be outside for her swim yet.
Gio Saves Drew From Drowning
Still, Gio is expected to hear the noise and rush over. Summer spoilers say Gio will save another character’s life, though some in Port Charles might wish he hadn’t intervened.
It seems Gio will dive in and use his lifeguard abilities to rescue Drew from a dangerous situation. Nina will probably panic, worried that Drew might reveal too much after being saved.
