General Hospital star Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) has begun a new court battle with his ex-wife, Sheree Burton. This is the latest in a series of legal challenges between Steve and Sheree. Steve has brought Sheree back to court over allegations about her actions and their effect on Brooklyn, their 11-year-old daughter. A further issue for Steve is how Sheree is said to treat Michelle Lundstrom, his new wife.

Accuses ex-wife of Blatant Parental Alienation

Court documents obtained by TMZ indicate that Steve believes Sheree’s actions undermine his relationship with Brooklyn. Because of this, Steve has chosen to publicly address what he sees as her efforts to create conflict. Steve claims Sheree has complicated his court-mandated custody time and accuses her of “blatant parental alienation,” showing that he has strong opinions about her behavior.

The documents also mention that Sheree has been criticized for not embracing Steve’s new wife or their blended family. Since Michelle has daughters who are Brooklyn’s stepsisters, Steve wants everyone included. One text message referenced in the documents revealed Sheree was not comfortable with Michelle picking Brooklyn up from school the following day. Steve feels Michelle is a good stepmother and sees Sheree’s actions as attempts to undermine things.

Steve’s move from California to Tennessee has also created tension. He claims there have been times when Sheree has not cooperated with Brooklyn’s visitation schedule, echoing earlier custody issues that led to previous court appearances.

Sheree, on the other hand, claims she is more flexible than Steve suggests. She rejects the idea that she has been alienating him from Brooklyn, and says she agrees to requests that benefit their daughter. Sheree states her main concern was not wanting Brooklyn to be away from her California home for more than three weeks.
