General Hospital fans are eager to know how Jason Morgan will be leaving Port Charles. Steve Burton already announced that he is taking a leave of absence to enjoy time with his new bride. He says he will be returning to film this summer. In the latest episodes, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) reiterates to Jason that Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) needs to be taken out. It’s been stressed more than once that it must be a clean kill. Taking down a WSB agent is serious business, much less the head honcho of the WSB. Is the constant talk of being careful when taking out Cullum a clue as to what will come?
General Hospital: Is Jason Morgan Heading To Steinmauer Prison?
General Hospital fans already know Jason Morgan is leaving the show for several months. Since everyone knows he’s coming back, it’s unlikely the soap will do a death storyline. It would be obvious he’s not dead, and that would be silly. Plus, it’s a way overdone storyline. So, if not a death and if he doesn’t escape with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to Canada, then what is to come of Jason?
Some are beginning to think that Jason’s attempt to kill Cullum will go horribly wrong. In the previews, viewers see Jason taking aim at Cullum through a window. Unfortunately, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) is also there. Jason could accidentally hit Brennan instead of Cullum. This would lead to Jason being on Cullum’s short list of people to deal with.

Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Cullum might know right away that it has something to do with Sonny and Jason. One of two things could happen. Jason could be somehow apprehended and sent away to Steinmauer prison. This would be an easy fix for writers to rectify when it’s time for Jason to return.
Or, Jason could miss the target and become a fugitive. He might be forced to leave Port Charles alone without Britt. His survival could depend on his leaving Port Charles. It’s safe to say that something is about to go terribly wrong with this plan to end Cullum’s reign of terror.
What Happens Next?
Jason Morgan could vow to Britt that he will return for her one day when it’s safe. He might make his return to finish the job of killing Cullum in a few months. In the meantime, Britt will be left to deal with them on her own. Lucas will do his best to keep her safe in Jason’s absence.
Jason has been setting the stage for his exit for the past few weeks. He’s been ensuring Danny Morgan is taken care of and has somewhere to go should anything happen to him. It’s a definite hint of what’s to come.
It won’t be long until it’s finally revealed what will happen to Jason Morgan. What route do you think writers will go to send Jason away for a few months?
