Joseph Duggar, a former star of Counting On, has been arrested and charged with lewd and lascivious behavior for having sex with a minor in a way that is against the law.
The BCSO says that the detective said that a 14-year-old victim told them about several things that happened with Joseph during a family vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida, in 2020, when the teen was only 9 years old. The victim said that Joseph kept asking her to sit on his lap and next to him on the couch during the vacation, and then he covered them with a blanket. She went on to say that Joseph “played with” her underwear and “grazed” her genitals and that he kept rubbing his hands on her thighs.
Joseph Duggar Admits to the Crime
Joseph eventually said he was sorry for what he did, and the incidents reportedly stopped. However, investigators found out that the victim’s father had confronted Joseph about the incidents earlier this week. At that point, Joseph reportedly confessed to the victim’s father and Tontitown detectives.
Joseph is one of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 19 children. He and his wife, Kendra, have four kids together.

Joseph is also the younger brother of Josh Duggar, who is currently serving more than 12 years in prison for receiving and possessing child sex abuse materials (CSAM).
The BCSO says that Joseph was arrested in another state and charged with lewd and lascivious behavior—molestation of a victim less than 12 years old—and lewd and lascivious behavior by a person 18 years or older.
Joseph is waiting to be sent back to Bay County, Florida.
