Adam and Danielle Busby, stars of TLC’s OutDaughtered, have had several huge life-changing events happen since choosing not to renew their TLC contract. Danielle broke down and told fans this is not the life she imagined. Read on to find out the Busbys’ huge life changes.
Quints Will Be Homeschooled
The couple never thought that they would choose to homeschool their quints, but back in February, that is exactly what they decided to do. In a recent podcast episode, the couple discusses the reasons behind their decision to withdraw their kids from school. They have faced a great deal of criticism since their announcement.
As part of a co-op homeschool, their five girls will begin sixth grade. For those who don’t know, this means that students complete some of their coursework at home at their own speed. The Busby daughters are Blayke, 14, and 10-year-old quints Hazel, Riley, Parker, Ava, and Olivia.
The quints had a choice, and they wanted to stay together in the homeschool co-op.
Danielle Busby Cries as She Shares Sad Day
Danielle shared an Instagram post of her sitting on the floor surrounded by boxes with tears rolling down her cheek. She shared a very vulnerable moment of being overwhelmed with life. She said, “Not just the perfectly curated moments.” But the tears. The stress. The overwhelming weight that life sometimes brings. Today, this is me.” She added, “Surrounded by moving boxes, a mile-long to-do list, and the emotions that come with closing one chapter and stepping into another.” She admitted, “The truth is… I cried. Not because I don’t trust God. But because I’m human.”
Danielle then talked about her faith. “The last few years haven’t looked anything like I imagined.
We closed a business. We sold our home. We moved into a much smaller transition home in a new city. And now… we’re packing again.
Danielle Shares Who Pulled Her Through
None of it was easy. None of it was what I would’ve chosen. But it was obedience. “There were moments I asked, “God… what are You doing?” Not because I doubted Him, but because I couldn’t yet see what He could.
Today, sitting on the floor surrounded by boxes, God met me there. Danielle gave glory to God and told her fans “As I sat there, I wasn’t remembering everything we’d lost. I was remembering God’s faithfulness. The same God who carried us through infertility, a high-risk quintuplet pregnancy, months in the NICU, health battles, and every closed door has never stopped being faithful.”
“If obedience has cost you more than you expected, don’t believe God is waiting on the other side of your circumstances.” Danielle assured fans, “He’s already there. He’ll meet you in the mess. He’ll speak in the ordinary. He’ll be faithful, just like He’s always been.”
The family has been busy with their major move, homeschooling, and their popular podcast, which debuted soon after season 10 concluded.
Regarding whether or not fans can anticipate hearing from the quintuplets on their “More Than Reality” podcast, Danielle and Adam state that they want the girls to concentrate on their education at this time.
