General Hospital has hinted that two important women will be back soon. One year has passed since Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) said goodbye to Sasha and baby daughter Daisy, about whom he had hardly acknowledged in the previous twelve months until recently. Michael recently said that he thinks about them often. Michael’s world would be completely upended if they ever made it back to Port Charles.
Last year, Sofia Mattsson made the hasty and somewhat nonsensical decision to leave GH and Sasha Gilmore. Sasha became alarmed when she thought someone was pursuing her infant after giving birth to Michael’s child on the courtroom floor. She skipped town to stay with her parents, Holly (Emma Samms) and Robert (Tristan Rogers), in Europe after assuming without proof that it was a Corinthos enemy.
Big Hint: Sasha and Daisy are Headed Back to Port Charles
With Rory Gibson taking over Chad Duell’s role just two months prior, many fans anticipated a revival of Michael and Sasha’s romance, so the entire arc gave them whiplash. Following Sasha’s departure, Michael disclosed that he believed Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), his ex-wife, was pursuing Daisy, and he was correct. The entire narrative was then abandoned until a few days ago.
Michael talked about how much he missed the baby daughter he never had the opportunity to get to know while at the Metro Court pool. He also expressed his continued belief that Willow was responsible for moving Daisy around the Quartermaine mansion whenever Sasha turned her back.
Sasha Will Bring Fierce Competition To Jacinda
Sasha’s presence could cause problems for many people if she were to return to Port Charles. Jacinda (Paige Herschell) would have some fierce competition with Michael’s ex and his daughter back in town; Michael might finally attempt to prove what Willow did, and Michael would finally have a compelling story that could propel him back onto the front burner instead of being relegated to a supporting role as he has been.
According to an Instagram post from earlier this year, Sasha would need to be recast because Mattsson has taken on a mystery role at Days of our Lives, but her presence might be all Michael needs to get his story going.
Sofia Mattsson is set to make her Days of Our Lives debut in early 2027. She began shooting in the spring of 2026, but the show tapes its episodes about nine months in advance, so she won’t be seen on screen until next year.
