General Hospital had a tough year in 2025, losing several beloved cast members. General Hospital lost actors and actresses, like Leslie Charleson (Monica), Chris Robinson (Rick Webber), Denise Alexander (Lesley Webber), Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio), and Anthony Geary (Luke Spencer). After Charleson passed away, the show made a huge deal out of Monica’s death. Geary even got a special tribute. When will General Hospital say goodbye to Tristan Rogers’ Robert Scorpio?
The Last Time GH Viewers Saw Robert Scorpio
Rogers last appeared on GH in July 2025, when he made a surprise appearance with the exit of his on-screen daughter, Sofia Mattsson. It was revealed that Sasha, her character, was the result of Robert’s long-running, on-again/off-again relationship with Holly Sutton (Emma Samms). Sasha left town with Daisy, the baby she had just had with Michael (Rory Gibson), after some scary things happened with the baby in the Quartermaine mansion, thanks to Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). Jason (Steve Burton) took Sasha and Daisy to France, where Robert and Holly lived. Robert was very happy to see his daughter and granddaughter again.
General Hospital Family Brokenhearted Over Tristan Rogers
Rogers made a statement through his friend and publicist, Anthony Turk, the day before this short appearance. He said he had been diagnosed with lung cancer. Sadly, he died on August 15 at the age of 79. Frank Valentini, the executive director of General Hospital, said at the time,

Robert continues to be mentioned on the daytime soap, most recently in December 2025, when it was reported that he had relocated from France to Australia, his birthplace.
When will GH honor Robert Scorpio on screen?
Nathan Varni says that General Hospital does have a plan to honor the beloved character in the end. Varni answered a fan who asked if the show would address Roger’s death. Nathan wrote: “Since the character hasn’t passed away on screen, writers are working on a story to weave into the show later in 2026 for a proper send-off.”
So, it seems fans will have to wait a little longer for Robert Scorpio’s final storyline & memorial to air. General Hospital created “a loving montage” for Geary. Fans are very interested in how the show will remember Rogers, who died a few months before Geary.

- “Honestly I don’t want the character of Robert Scorpio to die. Robert and Holly got their HEA, they can live blissfully offscreen. What Tristan at the very least deserved was an In Memory at the end of the show at the time of his death.”
- “I sincerely hope Robert’s story concludes with him and his real, original family (Anna & Robin) and undoes the ridiculousness of Holly/Sasha/Daisy. Holly COULD NOT have conceived Sasha in 1992 because she remained on the show for over a year after Robert “died”, and she WAS NOT”
- “Hoping Holly and Sasha are involved. The family he always dreamt of, the life he wanted. Thank you.”
- “I’d love an exciting sendoff, like off camera, he saves Anna & Robin, or Anna finds a note that he wrote her years ago that he wishes they had a second chance. I still think Gloria Monty fcked up their love story, and other producers fcked up Robert & Holly.”

Robert Scorpio’s Other Daughter Returns
In early 2026, Kimberly McCullough will return to General Hospital as the famous Robin Scorpio for a major two-month storyline. She is coming back because of a life-or-death emergency involving her mother, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), and the need to protect the Scorpio family legacy.
