Sources have been speaking out revealing the shocking reasons behind Little People Big World’s Matt Roloff & Caryn Chandler’s abrupt breakup, stating that Caryn frequently felt disrespected. Read on to find out what really broke these two up.
After eight years of dating, the Little People Big World stars shocked fans by calling off their engagement in July.
On Instagram, Matt revealed the unexpected breakup, calling it the “right step for us at this time” and an amicable decision.
Caryn Chandler Did Not Want The Million Dollar Home
Little People Big World‘s Matt Roloff’s dream home in Oregon, which he constructed from the ground up, strained his relationship with Caryn Chandler and ultimately led to their breakup. Matt led viewers to believe it was ‘Caryn’s dream home’ for years. Now it seems the ‘dream home; was all Matt Roloff.
The Sun Sources say “Caryn ended it because Matt didn’t listen to her opinion on certain things,” and added “She didn’t want to be making choices, but she wanted her input to be respected, and it never was.”
“One thing they didn’t agree on was the house. Caryn didn’t think they needed it at first, and then once it was built, all Matt did was complain about it.
Caryn Chandler Did Not Feel Respected
“She didn’t feel respected enough to stay and found him quite difficult to be with at times.
“She is also getting older and is hoping to live a drama-free life. There’s a lot of drama surrounding Matt and the family. In the end, it was too much.”
Caryn attempted multiple times to discuss important changes with Matt to salvage their relationship. Ultimately, she decided to end things in person, about a month prior to Matt’s Facebook post. The relationship had not improved despite her efforts, and Matt had been focused on building their dream house on the family farm in Oregon, which was completed just before their breakup.

Matt Roloff Is Very proud Of His New Home
Matt gave an update on a home tour for fans which he wil be showing off soon in a youtube video. He said: “Lots of you have been asking to see a full tour of my new home I built here on the farm. I finally got around to asking a friend to come over and film a video tour” We will give you an update when he gets that tour done.
He has given lots of sneak peeks to fans of the magnificant home with the high beam ceilings. In the end one of the same things that made Amy and Matt’s mariage so difficult happened to Caryn too. Amy has always said Matt gets in his zone and no one can tell him what to do especially when it comes to building. LPBW fans also think Caryn was also the nail in Amy’s marriage.
