General Hospital spoilers for the upcoming week of July 13-17 reveal that more drama is coming for residents of Port Charles. An injured Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is finally back from his WSB imprisonment after Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) made a deal with Z (John Oliver). It’s already been said that he will be different from what he was before. There are already tons of speculations about where life will take him. Plus, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is finally face-to-face with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Will old feelings resurface, putting his relationship with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) on the line?
General Hospital: Injured Jason is Home
General Hospital fans have been waiting for the homecoming of Jason Morgan. He’s making his return debut for the historic 16,000th episode of the daytime drama. Being in WSB captivity, accused of shooting Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), put him through extremely torturous times.
Spoilers have indicated that Jason’s storyline will be taking a big turn. Will he decide to join the WSB, or could they have brainwashed him to want to change his ways? Regardless, Jason is going to take a new turn in life, and it seems he is moving away from a life of crime. Will Danny follow suit, or will he still want to be on the wrong side of the law?
It will be compelling to see how an injured Jason reacts to being home. His relationship with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will also be different.

In a summer preview interview with Soap Opera Digest, GH head writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten shared, “Jason returns from abroad a changed man. His imprisonment has had a profound effect on his outlook and how he intends to conduct the rest of his life. His decision will have big implications for Danny (Morgan, Asher Antonyzyn), Britt (Westbourne, Kelly Thiebaud), the Quartermaines, Anna (Devane, Finola Hughes), and especially Sonny (Corinthos, Maurice Benard).”
When wounded Jason comes back to Port Charles, he’ll have a lot to catch up on, such as reconnecting with Danny, who has been struggling while his father was gone, and Rocco, who has been acting out after the shooting. Jason’s reunion with Britt might be complicated as well. Their relationship had only just started before Jason left, and Britt has recently found out she does not have Huntington’s disease — news that could change what’s ahead for them.
Steve Burton mentioned on his podcast, “The way I was taking off the show, it was kind of a lot of questions. Where did he go? What happened? I think some of those will be answered, some won’t. But definitely I think it’ll be cool for the fans from a story aspect.”
Who Will Valentin Choose?
Valentin Cassadine has always had a thing for Anna Devane. Now that he is free and clear of all crimes, will he try to pursue a relationship with Anna? He says he wants Carly Spencer, but will that change after he sees Anna? Some spoilers seem to indicate that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) may continue to get inside Anna’s brain and make her want to kill Valentin. Do you think this could happen?
Spoilers say on Friday that Valentin will make his feelings clear. Will he choose Carly or Anna? Plus, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is determined to keep Carly away from Valentin. However, Carly won’t stand for it and will set clear boundaries this week.
Spoilers also say that someone will catch Carly off guard. Will it be Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna)? Everyone will be working overtime to deter Valentin and Carly’s love affair.
In other news, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Jack Brennan will continue to get closer. It seems fans may be right, and these two will find themselves in bed together sooner rather than later.
