General Hospital fans are excited to see Nathan Dean return as Ethan Lovett this week. The son of Luke Spencer and Holly Sutton has been off-screen for six years. Nobody knows for sure what his return will mean or why he’s back in Port Charles, but there is a lot of speculation. Amid that speculation, everyone is wondering if Ethan’s half-sister, Sasha Gilmore, is set to make a comeback as well. However, since Sofia Mattsson joined Days of Our Lives, it looks like there could be a recast coming. Keep reading for all the details.
General Hospital: Will Writers Recast Sasha Gilmore?
General Hospital fans are wondering if Sasha Gilmore will make an appearance in Port Charles since her half-brother, Ethan, is returning. Sofia Mattsson joined the cast of DOOL, which leaves many to think that if Sasha does return, it will be a new actress.
Right now, it’s all speculation, but her return could throw a damper on Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and Jacinda Bracken’s (Paige Herschell) new relationship. If she makes a comeback and stays indefinitely, Michael may be forced into a new love triangle.

There is also the possibility that Sasha will return to honor her father, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers). The show has promised to give him a proper farewell after Rogers passed away. If Sasha only returns to Port Charles for her father’s memorial service, then it’s possible Sofia Mattsson will make a very brief comeback.
It’s yet to be seen if GH will recast Sasha, but at some point, Michael needs to see his daughter Daisy, and the character would most definitely want to honor her late father. If she is recast, who would you want to see fill the role?

Ethan Lovett’s Big Return
Britt Westbourne returned with her brother, “Nathan” West (Ryan Paevey), right on her heels. So, it wouldn’t be illogical to think that once Ethan Lovett steps back into Port Charles that sister, Sasha Gilmore, might follow.
Nobody is quite sure what Ethan will be up to, but fans are talking and thinking he might not return as the nice guy he always was. After nearly killing his mother, Holly, and brother, Lucky Spencer, Ethan may be back to seek revenge on Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota). In doing so, some think he will form an alliance with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Some think he will end up having ties to Deliah and baby Phoebe. His main purpose has yet to be revealed, but one thing is certain. Ethan will have a profound effect on Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi).
Why do you think Ethan is back in Port Charles? Do you think writers should recast Sasha Gilmore?
