Counting On’s Josh Duggar appeared in a video conference with a federal judge on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026, in the afternoon to try to have his conviction for CSAM overturned.
He is still serving his 151-month prison sentence. Josh has tried many times to get his sentence reversed, but all attempts have failed. Duggar was found guilty of having child pornography in December 2021. He was sentenced to more than 12 years in prison.
Josh Duggar Sees Federal Judge With New Attorney
In March 2026, Jim Bob Duggar hired R. Kelly’s attorney, Chicago-based Beau Brindley. Brindley will argue to have the conviction thrown out or the sentence reduced.
On Wednesday, the Judge did not make a decision. Much of the hearing was about whether Duggar turned in his court papers on time.
Duggar Blames Another Person For The CSAM
Duggar says he didn’t get a fair trial because his lawyers weren’t permitted to show that one of his employees was the one who put the recordings on the internet.

Duggar got popular from the show TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting, which he starred in with his family. Later, it was revealed that he molested 4 of his sisters when he was a teen. TLC cancelled the spin-off Counting On after that huge public revelation.
