Karen Derrico Faces Multiple Charges
Recently arrested in Las Vegas, Karen Derrico faces charges including harassment, violating a restraining order, preventing a witness from testifying through threats of violence, and aggravated stalking, according to TMZ on June 24.
Prosecutors claim Karen sent multiple threatening emails to Deon Derrico, with whom she shares 14 children. In a June 14 email, she allegedly wrote, “I want you dead,” adding, “I could kill you, and it won’t even bother me to go to jail and I’ll kill any of my kids if they take your side,” as revealed by court records obtained by Oxygen True Crime.
In a May 2 email, Karen reportedly warned Deon to “watch out” because she planned on “getting a gun and/or will have someone kill him before he can go to court.” Authorities said the emails caused Deon to be “in reasonable fear of death or substantial bodily harm.”
Karen pleaded not guilty at her arraignment on June 23. Her attorney, Jess Marchese, told Oxygen, “The allegations are completely false. And we will prove they were completely fabricated by Mr. Derrico.” Marchese also told TMZ that Karen was released on a $2,000 bond and fitted with an ankle monitor, with her next hearing set for August 6.
Who Are The Derrico’s?
Karen and Deon became well-known through their TLC reality show Doubling Down With the Derricos, which followed their life raising 14 children, including twins, triplets, and quintuplets. The show aired from 2020 until their divorce in 2024.
They confirmed their separation to Us Weekly in June 2024, emphasizing they remained “unified in the parenting of our 14 beautiful children.” Deon later updated on their divorce in December 2025, saying on The Sarah Fraser Show podcast, “At this point, we are just working it out as a family collectively. No, I am not ‘dating.’ She is not ‘dating.’ We have talked about how that would look because our biggest concern is our children. It is a unique, complicated, different, esoteric, and I cannot think of enough words to describe it because of the 14 children.”
Karen and Deon have not spoken out publicly about her arrest or the charges she is facing.
